Drossos family originates from Santorini Island. It is an old and big family with a farming background. Despite the hardships of everyday life in these early years, the family maintained a god sense of hospitality and had always seen visitors in a friendly way.
Ever since tourism began in Santorini, in the sixties, the members of the family had seen it as a nice opportunity to meet interesting people and learn from them as much as they could, while at the same time providing them with accommodation. The first tourists the family ever hosted, actually lived with them in a spare room of their house. An entire generation of Drossos family has grown up ever since then, learning how to like other people and cater for their needs. As a natural result of this, nearly every family member now owns a hotel or villa, or other forms of accommodation.
However, things have changed. Tourism is now the most rapidly developing industry on the island and this has lead to the gradual loss of the original atmosphere the tourists and the locals could once enjoy.

Maybe for the first time in the history of the island, a whole family has decided to regroup and unite its efforts in order to preserve the friendly style of holidays they have always known how to provide. For them, tourism is not an opportunity. It's a way of life. Through the last forty years, the family has not moved away from Perissa. It has spread, though, and now covers a larger area. This is a perfect environment for the visitor: The various types of accommodation owned by the twelve youngest members of the family were not created according to a specific pattern. They form a wide variety of rooms -and prices- that can satisfy even the most demanding guest, while being at walking distance from each other.
